Roselle plant, is tree plant, reaches a height of two meters and legs of red color, and is grown in many countries, especially in Sudan and southern Egypt. It is a shrub with beautiful red flowers are grown for decoration or for production, part which is used is (leaves) that surround the flower and be either red dark or light red after been dried.

The red dry leaves boiled and the sour taste souse to be drunk when it is warm or after been cooled and sweeten as well it is regarded as a rich moisturizer with vitamin C.

The Scientific name is Hibiscus sabdarriffa L.

Uses of Roselle:

Roselle drink lowers high blood pressure and increases the speed of blood circulation and helps to strengthen the heart and kills microbes, making it useful in the treatment of fevers and infections microbes for being acidic and tonic and an aide to digest, but warns against its use with low pressure.

Packing is usually done in PP bags 20~22 KG, and exported in 40 feet containers which will carry 12 metric tons.

It is used as a colored dye in chemical, cosmetics and in the food industry as a natural and healthy colorant, also as a general refresher.
